Product Description

Many gardens struggle to balance attractive planting with increasing pressure from changing weather conditions. Dry periods can stress plants, while intense rainfall can quickly overwhelm planting areas.

The Rain Garden Kit offers a practical solution. Combining specialist growing media, water retention layers and integrated habitat features, it creates a resilient planted feature that works with natural processes while enhancing the appearance of a garden or landscape.

At the heart of the system is a Hydrorock layer that helps absorb and retain moisture within the planter after rainfall. This stored moisture can then be accessed by plant roots, helping support healthier growth during drier periods. The inclusion of specialist SuDS growing media creates free-draining conditions while maintaining the balance required for long-term plant establishment.

Alongside its planting benefits, the Rain Garden Kit incorporates dedicated habitat features including a habitat chamber, wet habitat trays and deadwood. Together these create a variety of microhabitats that support insects and other garden wildlife.

The result is a rain garden that combines practical water management, seasonal interest and biodiversity value within a compact footprint.

Integrated habitat benefits

Unlike conventional planters, the Rain Garden Kit has been designed with biodiversity in mind.

The integrated habitat chamber, wet habitat trays and deadwood elements provide opportunities for insects and other beneficial wildlife to shelter within the feature. Combined with diverse planting, these elements help transform the planter into a living habitat rather than simply a planting container.
